This senior legal role is focused on providing strategic legal support across Latin America, with a strong emphasis on sales, channel partnerships, and public sector engagements. You will operate as a key legal advisor to regional business teams, ensuring that commercial activities are compliant, well-structured, and aligned with both local regulations and global corporate standards. The position involves close collaboration with sales, compliance, and cross-functional stakeholders in a fast-paced, international environment. You will play a critical role in drafting and negotiating complex agreements while helping shape policies and training programs that support compliant growth. The role requires strong business judgment and the ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives. It is an opportunity to influence high-impact transactions and support strategic expansion across diverse markets in Latin America.
- Provide legal advice and guidance on sales, compliance, channel/partner agreements, and public sector contracts across Latin America.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, including distribution, partner, and government-related contracts.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local laws and regulations governing sales practices, public procurement, and business operations.
- Monitor regulatory and legal developments and assess their impact on business activities and commercial strategy.
- Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, training programs, and internal guidelines.
- Advise internal stakeholders on risk management, intellectual property, licensing, data privacy, and competition law matters as needed.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, compliance, and business teams to enable legally sound and commercially viable solutions.
- Law degree from an accredited institution and qualification to practice law in relevant jurisdictions.
- 8+ years of legal experience, ideally combining law firm and in-house roles within a global or technology-driven company.
- Strong experience supporting sales organizations, including channel/partner ecosystems (VARs, VADs, distributors, and resellers).
- Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating commercial, public sector, and government-related agreements.
- Solid understanding of regulatory areas such as compliance, antitrust, privacy, data security, and IP licensing (preferred).
- Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and ambiguity-driven environment.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and sound legal and business judgment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with fluency in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese.
