Description:
Radial Power is seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Manager, Capital Markets, to lead and execute capital markets activities in support of the Company’s growth and long-term financing strategy. This senior role is responsible for overseeing capital raising initiatives, structuring complex financing transactions, managing key investor and lender relationships, and advising executive leadership on capital structure and market strategy. The Sr. Manager, Capital Markets, will play a critical role in shaping the Company’s financial strategy and positioning it for sustainable growth.
- Lead the strategy, structuring, and execution of all corporate- and project-level financing activities, including debt, tax equity, preferred equity, and other structured capital solutions.
- Serve as the senior-most capital markets leader for Radial Power, acting as a key advisor to executive leadership on capital strategy, liquidity planning, and funding optimization.
- Own and manage relationships with banks, institutional investors, tax equity providers, private credit funds, and other capital providers to ensure consistent access to competitive financing.
- Drive end-to-end execution of financing transactions, including origination, structuring, underwriting, diligence, negotiation, and closing.
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support transaction execution, portfolio management, capital planning, and valuation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Development, Legal, Accounting, Tax, and Asset Management teams to align financing strategy with project pipelines and operational goals.
- Lead refinancing, recapitalization, and portfolio-level financing strategies to optimize cost of capital and enhance returns.
- Monitor and analyze capital markets conditions, interest rate environments, and investor sentiment to proactively adjust financing strategies.
- Oversee preparation of investment memos, lender presentations, and Board materials; present financing strategies and recommendations to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
- Establish and lead investor relations efforts related to capital markets, including ongoing communication, reporting, and relationship development.
- Support long-term strategic planning, including capital allocation, growth financing, and platform-level funding strategies.
- Build, mentor, and scale the capital market’s function, including developing processes, tools, and best practices as the platform grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 10–15+ years of progressive experience in capital markets, investment banking, project finance, or corporate finance, with a strong track record of leading complex transactions.
- Deep experience structuring and executing project finance transactions, preferably within renewable energy, distributed generation, infrastructure, or power sectors.
- Demonstrated expertise across a range of financing products, including debt (construction, term, warehouse), tax equity, and structured equity.
- Proven ability to operate at a senior level, influencing executive leadership and interfacing directly with investors, lenders, and Board members.
- Advanced financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear strategic recommendations.
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to balance risk, return, and growth objectives.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience building or scaling capital markets platforms or functions is highly preferred (important given CFO gap).
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- High integrity, sound judgment, and a hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.
- CFA or similar professional designation is a plus.
