Job Overview:
Are you energetic, ambitious, and looking to develop your career? Our Forex SA department is looking to add a Forex Dealer to their team. We offer a dynamic and challenging environment where we achieve our business objectives and have fun doing it.
This is not a transactional dealing role. The successful candidate will take full ownership of their client base, acting as the primary point of contact and trusted adviser across the entire client lifecycle – from onboarding through to execution, settlement, and long-term relationship management.
We are a business built on direct, verbal client engagement, and this role requires someone who is confident, articulate, and proactive in managing client relationships via phone and ongoing interaction.
This role sits at the centre of our business, requiring collaboration across internal teams (onboarding, compliance, settlements, and business development) to ensure a seamless, consistent, and high-quality client experience.
You’re perfect for this position if you:- Have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Have practical experience in foreign exchange, treasury, or financial services (desirable but not mandatory)
- Possess a strong understanding of exchange control, cross-border payments, and client advisory (desirable but not mandatory)
- Demonstrate proven experience in foreign exchange dealing, FX sales, or treasury-related role
- Have a strong understanding of spot and forward FX transactions and exchange control and cross-border payments
- Have experience in client relationship management
- Are comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment

Among other tasks, your main responsibilities will include:
Client ownership and relationship management
- Taking full responsibility for managing and growing a portfolio of corporate and/or private clients
- Acting as the single point of contact for all FX-related client needs
- Building strong, trust-based relationships through consistent, proactive communication (primarily via phone)
- Understanding each client’s business, cash flow cycles, and FX requirements
End-to-end client journey management
- Owning the full client lifecycle:
o Initial engagement
o Onboarding and compliance coordination
o Trading and execution
o Settlement and post-trade follow-up
- Working closely with internal teams to ensure clients are not “handed off” without accountability
- Identifying and resolving bottlenecks, delays, or service gaps proactively
FX dealing and execution
- Quoting and executing spot and forward FX transactions
- Providing clients with market insight, pricing guidance, and risk awareness
- Ensuring all trades are executed accurately, compliantly, and within required timelines
- Liaising with banking partners and treasury where required
Problem solving and service delivery
- Taking ownership of all client queries, issues, and escalations
- Solving problems independently wherever possible before escalating
- Ensuring clients receive clear, timely communication on all transactions
- Maintaining full visibility on each client’s transactions and proactively update them
Commercial growth and opportunity identification
Identifying opportunities to:
- Increase volumes
- Improve client retention
- Cross-sell Sable International’s broader services
- Grow revenue within your client base through relationship-driven engagement
- Contribute to the overall growth of the FX business
Collaboration and team contribution
- Working closely with onboarding, compliance, settlements, and BD teams
- Contributing to improving internal processes and client experience
- Supporting team members where needed to ensure overall service delivery
- Willingness to step beyond your core role where required
