Quality Assurance Manager - Senior

Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to establish and maintain processes to evaluate IT systems, software, and associated documentation for a potential opportunity.

This role plans and directs quality assurance and quality control activities across the software lifecycle, applies verification and validation, testing, integration, and software metrics to assess quality, and determines the resources needed for IT quality control.

The manager provides subject matter expertise to resolve complex technical problems across all task areas. This is a full-time, fully remote opportunity supporting a federal customer.
Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain processes for evaluating software and its associated documentation.
• Develop software quality assurance plans and identify the resources needed to perform IT quality control.
• Maintain the required level of quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Conduct formal and informal reviews at predetermined lifecycle points, document findings, and support resolution of quality issues.
• Apply verification and validation, software testing and integration, and software metrics to assess software quality.
• Apply subject matter knowledge to high-level analysis, design, development, modeling, simulation, integration, installation, documentation, and implementation.
• Resolve specialized technical problems using a detailed understanding of the relevant subject matter and its principles and methods.
• Support specialized solutions in areas such as environmental, scientific, maintenance and repair processes, and logistical support activities, as applicable.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of relevant experience in quality assurance and quality control of IT systems.
• Experience with verification and validation, software testing and integration, and software metrics used to assess software quality.
• Ability to establish and maintain software and documentation evaluation processes, develop quality assurance plans, determine quality control resources, and conduct lifecycle reviews.
• Ability to apply technical subject matter knowledge to specialized solutions and resolve complex problems.
• Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority.
• DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification, Category IAT Level II.

Security Requirements
IT-II security clearance or a current National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC) at the time of proposal submission.

Salary range $120,000 to $165,000 annually
The salary range is a general guideline. We consider several factors when determining base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, and current market conditions.
