Production Supervisor in Memphis, Tennessee at Jordan Aluminum Company

The Production Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and managing the daily operations of the manufacturing floor to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production output. This position is responsible for coordinating production activities, managing team members, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Production Supervisor will work closely with cross-functional teams including quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain to optimize production processes and meet production targets. The role also oversees in-process and final quality inspections, ensuring products meet customer specifications and company quality standards. They will be instrumental in identifying areas for continuous improvement, analyzing inspection results, implementing corrective actions, and driving best practices to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and improve product quality. Ultimately, the role ensures that production goals are met on time while maintaining a safe and positive work environment for all employees.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on quality inspection, quality control, or quality assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience performing or overseeing quality inspections, audits, and quality control processes in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, safety regulations, and quality control standards.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office applications.

• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance.
• Knowledge of inspection methodologies, root cause analysis, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and quality management systems (QMS).
• Demonstrated success in implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills.

Add the following responsibilities:

• Conduct or oversee in-process, final, and random quality inspections to ensure products meet established specifications and customer requirements.
• Review inspection reports, non-conformance findings, and quality metrics to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with Quality Assurance teams to investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence of defects.
• Ensure inspection equipment, gauges, and measuring tools are properly maintained and calibrated.
• Train production employees on quality standards, inspection procedures, and defect prevention techniques.
