Sr Demand Planner

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Demand Planner based in United States.

This role is a key demand planning position responsible for building and maintaining accurate, unbiased forecasts that guide commercial and supply chain decisions across multiple regions.
You will play a critical role in translating sales inputs, market signals, and historical consumption data into a forward-looking 18-month demand view.
The position sits at the intersection of analytics, sales collaboration, and supply chain planning, ensuring alignment on assumptions and demand drivers.
You will work closely with cross-functional partners to improve forecast accuracy, identify risks and opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making.
This role requires strong analytical rigor combined with the ability to influence stakeholders in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
You will also contribute to improving forecasting tools, processes, and reporting capabilities to enhance planning maturity and scalability.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and manage the end-to-end demand planning process across multiple regions, including development of an 18-month rolling forecast for revenue and shipment volumes
  • Lead demand review meetings with Sales and cross-functional stakeholders to align on assumptions, risks, and opportunities
  • Partner closely with Sales to incorporate market intelligence, promotions, distribution changes, and other demand drivers into forecasts
  • Analyze historical sales, consumption, and performance data to generate objective, data-driven demand forecasts
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify variances, and explain key drivers behind deviations from actual results
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support demand planning and business decision-making
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting methodologies, tools, and data quality processes
  • Support alignment across supply chain and commercial teams to ensure a consistent view of demand across the organization

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, or a related analytical role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Analytics, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with ability to interpret complex datasets into actionable insights
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly Sales and Supply Chain, to align forecasting assumptions
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with forecasting or planning tools and systems
  • Strong understanding of demand planning principles, statistical forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence in a matrixed environment
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement
  • Results-driven mindset with ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10–15%) for meetings and business needs
