This role supports our entire brand portfolio, including our primary turnkey business, Architectural Fabrication, Armetco, and our growing distribution channel, Alumination Architectural Products.
Position SummaryArchitectural Fabrication is a manufacturing and construction company focused on division 10 specialty scopes, including, but not limited to, extruded aluminum canopies, walkway covers, sunshades, and awnings. The Senior Project Manager's main responsibilities are to oversee multiple projects from start to finish while also leading a small team and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of two to four project managers.
Work with internal business development and preconstruction teams to understand the scope, specifications, and schedule of large commercial, multi-family, institutional, and industrial projects.
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Develop and maintain customer relationships to enhance the company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.
Solve construction problems as they arise.
Keep in-house project management systems updated and on track with critical dates.
Manage submittal drawing process with contractors, architects, and engineers.
Coordinate phasing of projects to match the general contractor’s schedule.
Coordinate with superintendents to ensure field measurements are implemented in final production drawings.
Work closely with superintendents to ensure customer/contract requirements and timelines are met.
Keep projects on track within company lead time guidelines.
Review, create, and manage the execution of change orders.
Communicate with customers and the internal accounting team to ensure projects are billed on time and accurately.
Owns post-estimate budget management, leveraging rigorous variance analysis to pinpoint cost savings and keep project execution highly cost-effective.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Five-plus years of construction/manufacturing experience.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (plan sets, isometrics).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, as well as with customers and vendors.
Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze and organize significant amounts of information efficiently.
