Job Description
Job Summary
Maintenance Technicians install, repair and perform preventative maintenance on Computer Numerical
Control (CNC) machinery to minimize production downtime. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic,
pneumatic and electrical systems. Frequently work with PLC’S, servo motors and Fanuc or Siemens
controls to diagnose issues.
Responsibility
· Perform assigned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge of troubleshooting and repairs of CNC mills, lathes, 4 and 5-axis machines, grinders, EDMs, and support equipment.
- Knowledge of vertical and horizontal machining centers.
· Complies with OSHA Safety Standards: Lockout/Tagout, Permit Required Confined Space, Hot Work, use of proper PPE, Hazard Communication and Ergonomics.
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic failures by observing machine operation and using diagnostics, replace faulty components such as motors, pumps and sensors.
· Level, align and calibrate CNC machines (lathes, mills, 4-5 axis machines) to ensure precision operating standards.
· Knowledge of robotic loaders and automated systems.
· Strong understanding of electrical circuits, PLC programming, hydraulic systems, and reading technical schematics/blueprints.
· Maintains all work areas in a safe and orderly fashion according to plant standards.
· Maintain detailed logs of repairs, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory.
· Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to plan downtime windows for repairs and upgrades, and during improvement projects, new machining installations and all upgrades relating to machine production.
· Maintain continuity between all shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities and continuing needs.
· Maintain proper housekeeping following the 5-S Cleaning System. (Sort-Set in Order-Shine-Standardize-Sustain.
· Other duties as assigned.
Academic/Educational Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years’ experience with CNC machines in a high volume, precision machining environment
Technical and Basic math skills required. Mechanical aptitude. Computer skills.

40 hours per week-overtime when required due to customer demands
Please note: All schedules and changes to working hours must be approved by the department manager. Schedule is subject to change based on discretion of department manager.
