Job Overview:

The Charge Capture Specialist in Perioperative Support Services works independently at the information desk, contacting patient care areas, directing OSA s, utilizing pager system, taking messages and communicating to appropriate persons.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School Diploma

Six to twelve months prior experience in secretarial position required

Preferred:

• Medical background preferred

Essential Functions:

• Schedules operative procedures telephone and fax requests, using knowledge of procedures, area of body involved, equipment conflicts, staffing, surgeon preferences, scheduling habits and suite utilization
