Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Quality Manager to lead quality assurance and quality control activities for large-scale data center and mission-critical electrical construction projects.
This role will oversee quality processes from preconstruction through project completion, working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, commissioning teams, and field personnel. The Quality Manager will establish and maintain project-specific quality standards, identify potential issues early, and ensure electrical construction is completed in accordance with project specifications, contractual requirements, applicable codes, and client expectations.
The ideal candidate has strong experience with electrical construction QA/QC, preferably within data centers, mission-critical facilities, industrial facilities, advanced technology, or other technically complex environments.
Key Responsibilities- Lead electrical quality assurance and quality control efforts on mission-critical construction projects.
- Develop and implement project-specific electrical quality plans during preconstruction and construction.
- Establish quality requirements for electrical work and incorporate them into project planning, procurement, and execution.
- Work closely with project management and field leadership to maintain electrical quality standards throughout construction.
- Conduct and coordinate quality inspections, audits, reviews, and quality meetings.
- Monitor electrical installation activities and identify potential quality issues before they impact schedule, cost, or project performance.
- Track quality metrics, deficiencies, non-conformance issues, and corrective actions.
- Investigate significant quality issues and develop corrective and preventive action plans.
- Coordinate with electrical subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to ensure work meets project specifications and quality requirements.
- Review electrical testing, inspection, documentation, and closeout requirements.
- Coordinate quality requirements for electrical equipment, materials, and specialty systems.
- Support electrical testing, startup, commissioning, turnover, and closeout activities.
- Provide quality training and guidance to project teams, subcontractors, and field personnel.
- Review project documentation, inspection records, testing results, and quality reports.
- Analyze quality trends and implement improvements to prevent recurring issues.
- Maintain consistent quality standards across complex, multi-phase mission-critical projects.
- Promote a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team.
- Experience managing QA/QC for data center, mission-critical, industrial, semiconductor, advanced technology, or other technically complex electrical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, inspections, testing, and quality control processes.
- Experience with large-scale electrical systems and complex equipment installations.
- Experience working with electrical subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and commissioning teams.
- Experience with electrical testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout documentation.
- Experience identifying and resolving electrical construction quality issues.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced construction environments with aggressive schedules and multiple stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- 7+ years of experience in electrical construction QA/QC, electrical quality management, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of management or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction quality control, inspections, testing, project specifications, and documentation.
- Experience working with subcontractors, vendors, project management teams, engineers, and field operations.
- Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve complex electrical construction quality issues.
- ASQ Certified Manager of Quality / Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification required.
- HCAI/OSHPD “A” license preferred.
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification preferred.
