This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Copywriter, Credit Card based in the United States.
This part-time contract role is ideal for an experienced financial services copywriter with a strong understanding of credit card products and consumer messaging.
You’ll develop persuasive, clear, and compliant copy across email, paid media, social, web, and in-app experiences.
Your work will help translate complex product benefits, rewards, fees, and terms into compelling customer-facing communications.
You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative, Product, Legal, and Compliance teams in a fast-moving environment.
The role offers meaningful ownership across multiple campaigns and customer lifecycle touchpoints.
Success requires balancing conversion-focused storytelling with accuracy, transparency, and regulatory requirements.
The engagement is expected to average 10–15 hours per week on an ongoing basis.
- Write original, engaging copy for promotional campaigns across email, social media, paid advertising, websites, and other digital channels.
- Develop product messaging that clearly communicates credit card benefits, rewards, fees, terms, and limitations.
- Create customer-facing educational, account management, and lifecycle communications that support customers throughout their relationship with the product.
- Produce both short-form and long-form copy tailored to specific audiences, platforms, campaign objectives, and stages of the customer journey.
- Collaborate with designers and product stakeholders to ensure messaging and creative direction work together effectively.
- Maintain a consistent, recognizable brand voice across customer touchpoints while adapting messaging appropriately by channel.
- Ensure marketing and customer communications meet applicable financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to identify regulatory considerations and address required disclosures before content launches.
- Balance persuasive marketing language with accurate presentation of rates, fees, terms, conditions, and product limitations.
- Incorporate feedback from Marketing, Product, Legal, and other stakeholders efficiently and professionally.
- Manage several concurrent projects and promotional timelines while meeting quality standards and deadlines.
- 5+ years of professional copywriting experience specifically within credit cards, financial services, fintech, or a closely related regulated industry.
- Demonstrated ability to create effective copy across email, paid media, social media, web, and other digital channels.
- Strong knowledge of credit card products, benefits, rewards programs, fees, and consumer decision-making.
- Excellent editorial skills, including grammar, clarity, tone, structure, proofreading, and brand consistency.
- Working knowledge of financial advertising compliance and regulatory considerations.
- Ability to translate complex financial products and requirements into accessible, customer-friendly messaging.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating relevant credit card or financial services copywriting experience.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to respond constructively to feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with overlapping campaigns and tight deadlines.
- Experience with rewards-program messaging, benefits positioning, fintech or direct-to-consumer credit card brands, AI-assisted copywriting, SEO, or content optimization is a plus.
- Part-time, ongoing contract engagement of approximately 10–15 hours per week.
