Lumber Yard Manager - Nahunta in Nahunta, Georgia at BUILDERS SUPPLY INC

Location: Ace Hardware – Nahunta Employment Type: Full-Time Schedule: Mix of weekdays and Saturdays

We're looking for a dependable, hardworking Lumber Yard Manager to join our team at the Nahunta store. This role is the backbone of our lumber and building materials department — Leading and managing a team, helping customers load and find materials, keeping the yard organized, and supporting our contractors and DIY customers alike by coordinating incoming and outgoing deliveries.

Lead a team of associates to ensure timely fulfillment and delivery of customer orders • Load and unload lumber, building materials, and related products for customers and delivery trucks• Operate a forklift to move and stack materials safely and efficiently• Keep the lumber yard clean, organized, and well-stocked• Assist customers with locating products and answering basic questions about lumber and building materials• Receive and check in incoming shipments against purchase orders• Perform physical tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs regularly)• Follow all safety protocols for yard operations and equipment use• Support other departments as needed during busy periods

• Forklift experience preferred — willingness to complete forklift certification if not already certified• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions• Strong work ethic and reliability• Ability to lift and move heavy materials on a regular basis• Good communication skills and a customer-first attitude• Prior experience in a lumber yard, hardware store, or building materials setting is a plus, but not required

This is a part-time position requiring availability on a mix of weekdays and Saturdays. Specific shift schedule to be discussed during the interview.
