Class A CDL End Dump Driver Position

Denali is hiring an experienced Class A CDL End Dump Driver to safely transport and deliver materials throughout the Lancaster County and surrounding Pennsylvania service areas.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of end dump and tractor-trailer driving experience, understands hydraulic trailer operations, and can safely operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

This is a full-time position with a primarily Monday–Friday schedule. Seasonal overtime and occasional weekend hauling may be required. Drivers should be prepared to work approximately 40–60 hours per week, depending on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers with end dump equipment.
  • Transport, load, and unload materials at designated customer and work sites.
  • Operate end dump trailers and hydraulic systems safely and efficiently.
  • Operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Maintain accurate electronic driver logs using Samsara or a similar electronic logging system.
  • Complete and submit service tickets, contamination reports, maintenance records, and other required paperwork.
  • Perform minor repairs using basic hand tools when needed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and basic condition of trucks, trailers, bins, and other company equipment.
  • Communicate regularly with dispatch, customers, vendors, and the operations team.
  • Report equipment problems, accidents, injuries, spills, and safety concerns immediately.
  • Attend required safety meetings, training sessions, and weekly briefings.
  • Use a company-issued or personal mobile device for communication, training, documentation, and expense management.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures while working around vehicles, equipment, and active job sites.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • At least two years of verifiable end dump experience
  • At least two years of full-time, verifiable tractor-trailer experience
  • Experience operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles
  • Current DOT medical card
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record and PSP
  • Stable work history
  • Knowledge of end dump hydraulic systems preferred
  • Experience using Samsara or another electronic logging device preferred
  • Basic computer and mobile phone skills
  • Strong time-management, communication, and customer-service skills
  • Ability to maintain a consistent and dependable work schedule
  • Ability to park equipment at an approved parking location
  • Must live within the defined hiring area
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and road test
  • No DUI or DWI conviction involving a commercial or personal vehicle within the last three years

Applicants must be at least 23 years old with two years of full-time, verifiable tractor-trailer experience. Applicants who are at least 21 years old may qualify with one year of tractor-trailer experience if they graduated from an approved truck-driving school or have qualifying military driving experience.

Drivers must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate with the public, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official questions, and complete required reports and records.

This position requires the ability to:

  • Sit and drive for extended periods
  • Climb, balance, reach, stand, walk, bend, and use hands to operate equipment
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Hear, see, speak, and communicate effectively
  • Work outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Work around moving vehicles, mechanical equipment, dust, odors, noise, and other job-site conditions
  • Safely enter or work near confined spaces when required
