Description:

Ski School Ticket Agent

Reports To: Ski School Administrator
Department: Ski & Ride School
Status: Full-Time Seasonal
Wage Range: $18-19/hr

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Ski School Ticket Agent communicates with our customer base in an efficient manner by selling and promoting our ski & ride school lessons and other related products at the Ski School front desk. This position works closely with the entire Ski and Ride School team, requires appropriate communication skills, and provides a welcoming demeanor toward employees and guests.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Maintain an organized, clean, efficient workspace.
  • Sell, book, and process ski school lessons
  • Ensure every guest has a signed waiver and photo uploaded to their profile.
  • Keep up to date with product updates and system changes.
  • Engage with Ski School Supervisory staff to understand the needs of ski school.
  • Keep up to date with lesson scheduling to understand what lessons are still available to be booked.
  • Process discounts/vouchers and promotions as required.
  • Process credit card transactions and adhere strictly to guest and other privacy policies.
  • Answer all Ski School calls in an efficient and helpful manner.
  • Always handle all guest information professionally and in confidence.
  • Review reservation bookings for the following day to be prepared for customer volume.
  • Complete closing procedures for individual selling stations.
  • Work with other departments to ensure goals are met and processes are effective.
  • Keep a calm, organized, and positive environment.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain an exceptional level of professionalism in all interactions with guests, fellow employees, and other department managers.
  • Help with rental procedures when needed.
  • Troubleshoot Tickets System and guest issues, as necessary.
  • Maintain Ski and Ride School safety policies.
  • Adhere to and enforce child safety laws and mandated reporting.
  • Available to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong working knowledge of computer systems- including but not limited to- Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Computer literacy and keyboard knowledge.
  • Ability to handle guest interactions, both positive and negative, in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Highly developed customer service skills.
  • Talking to others to convey information effectively.
  • Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to speak, read, write in English fluently. Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish is preferred.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience using POS and reporting systems preferred.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work indoors and sometimes outside in a high alpine environment with variable and sometimes extreme winter weather conditions.
  • Some 45+ hour work weeks, particularly during holiday periods.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry thirty (30) pounds or more.
  • Dexterity to use keyboard, handle ski equipment.
  • Standing, Sitting, Walking, Bending, Carrying, Lifting, Reaching, Kneeling.
