Autonomous Vehicle Engineering Technician in Fremont, California at WME Express

Were looking for an experienced Engineering Technician to help build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot electronic and electro-mechanical hardware used in autonomous vehicle development.

• Assemble and test electronic hardware and prototypes
• Read schematics, drawings, and technical instructions
• Solder, crimp, install wiring, and assemble components
• Use hand tools, torque tools, and electronic test equipment
• Inspect completed work for quality
• Troubleshoot assembly and hardware issues
• Assist engineers with prototype builds and new product development
• Keep accurate records and maintain a clean, safe work area

• 4–6 years of electro-mechanical/electronics assembly experience preferred
• Strong electronics assembly skills
• Able to read schematics and technical drawings
• Experience with soldering, crimping, wiring, and assembly tools
• Experience with oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other lab equipment
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Trade school or technical training is acceptable; Bachelor’s degree is not required if experience is strong

Preferred: IPC-610/620 certification, J-STD experience, SAP/Oracle, PLM/3DX, Python, or startup/prototype manufacturing experience.
