Job Description
This is a high-impact Executive Director position overseeing the overall operations, financial performance, regulatory compliance, resident satisfaction, and strategic growth of a large Life Plan Community (CCRC) in Freehold, NJ. The Executive Director functions as the senior operational leader of the community, serving as the "General Manager " of the campus while partnering closely with the CEO, CFO, Board of Directors, and corporate leadership team to drive operational excellence, census growth, financial performance, resident satisfaction, and long-term strategic initiatives.
Overview
- Executive Director responsible for overall community operations, financial performance, compliance, resident experience, and strategic planning.
- Reports directly to the President & CEO of FellowshipLIFE and works closely with corporate leadership.
- Serves as the primary operational leader responsible for implementing FellowshipLIFE's culture, expectations, processes, and accountability standards within the community.
- Directs key operational leaders.
- Operates within a multi-site organizational structure and collaborates closely with corporate departments including Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, and Operations.
- Presents regularly to the Board of Directors and provides ongoing updates regarding community performance, goals, and strategic initiatives.
- Participates in bi-weekly leadership meetings focused on execution, goal achievement, operational performance, and strategy alignment.
- Responsible for developing, managing, and owning the community budget with support from corporate finance. The Executive Director is accountable for expense management, revenue growth, forecasting, and overall financial stewardship.
- Serves as a highly visible leader within the community through routine resident interaction, monthly resident coffee chats, quarterly town halls with residents and team members, and frequent presence throughout the campus.
- Partners with corporate teams on capital improvement projects such as renovations and new amenity enhancements.
- Supports occupancy and sales efforts by ensuring strong operational execution, exceptional community presentation, and effective apartment turnover management.
- Position requires a highly engaged leadership approach and a 24/7 ownership mindset. While schedules are flexible, the Executive Director is expected to maintain a strong onsite presence, visibility, and accessibility to residents, staff, and leadership.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive leadership experience within Senior Living, Life Plan Communities (CCRCs), Long-Term Care, Assisted Living, Healthcare Operations, Hospitality, or similarly complex service environments.
- Prior Executive Director experience preferred but not required.
- Strong Associate Executive Directors, Campus Administrators, Licensed Nursing Home Administrators, Dining Leaders, Financial Leaders, or other operational leaders with demonstrated leadership progression will be considered.
- Experience leading multi-department operations with responsibility for budgets, staffing, compliance, customer satisfaction, and organizational performance.
- Demonstrated success driving accountability, building culture, implementing change, and improving operational performance.
- Experience working within larger organizations where corporate processes, standards, and strategic objectives must be effectively executed at the community level.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, revenue enhancement, census management, and expense control.
- Experience supporting renovations, facility improvements, and community enhancement projects preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.

- Timely, responsive, and highly organized with strong follow-through and execution skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence across multiple stakeholder groups.
- Comfortable operating in a visible leadership role requiring flexibility beyond traditional business hours when community needs arise.
