Executive HousekeeperPosition Summary
Requirements: Qualifications
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and guest satisfaction. This position leads and supervises housekeeping staff, manages schedules, inventory, budgets, and ensures compliance with company policies and hospitality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Manage daily housekeeping operations for guest rooms, public areas, laundry facilities, and back-of-house spaces.
- Recruit, train, coach, and evaluate housekeeping staff.
- Develop work schedules and assign duties to ensure adequate staffing levels.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to maintain quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations.
- Monitor and maintain housekeeping supplies, linens, equipment, and inventory.
- Control department expenses and operate within budget guidelines.
- Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Address guest concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and departmental documentation.
- Implement quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of housekeeping equipment.
Requirements: Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of housekeeping experience, including supervisory or management experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, cleaning methods, and safety standards.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, and pull as required.
- Ability to inspect all areas of the property effectively.
