What if your next leadership move gave you the opportunity to do more than lead a team?
At Bohler, our Branch Managers have a hand in shaping the business, the team, and the communities we help build. We’re looking for a strategic, entrepreneurial leader to take the helm of our Gaithersburg, MD office and help define what’s next for our growing presence across Suburban Maryland.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the business—building relationships, developing people, winning work, solving problems, and turning a cohesive team into an even stronger one.
The OpportunityAs Branch Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the direction of the office while partnering closely with Regional and Firm Leadership. You’ll help set the strategy, grow the team, strengthen client relationships, and create the conditions for great work to happen.
Bohler’s Gaithersburg team works on impactful land development projects, supporting the growth of residential, commercial, mixed-use communities throughout the region. We even work on high-impact Mission Critical projects.
You’ll have the platform and support. We’re looking for the leader who wants to make the most of it.
What You’ll Lead

  • Build great leaders. Mentor and develop senior and mid-level professionals while creating a strong pipeline of future leaders.
  • Strengthen client partnerships. Build relationships with clients and industry partners, understand what matters to them, and turn those relationships into lasting opportunities.
  • Raise the bar on delivery. Champion quality, accountability, and operational excellence across the branch.
  • Run the business. Own branch financial performance, resource planning, staffing, and operational priorities.
  • Shape the culture. Create an environment where talented people want to do their best work, grow their careers, and stay for the journey.

What You’ll BringYou’re an established land development leader who knows how to balance people, projects, clients, and the business. You have the credibility to lead experienced professionals and the business instincts to spot an opportunity and turn it into something bigger. You’ll bring:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Surveying, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 15+ years of land development and permitting experience across residential, commercial, and/or industrial sectors.
  • Professional licensure such as PE, LSA, or PLS preferred.
  • A track record of leading teams, managing financial performance, and delivering against key business objectives.
  • Strong business development skills and established relationships within the Suburban Maryland market.
  • The ability to develop people, influence clients, and bring teams together around a common goal.
  • The confidence to lead strategically while staying connected to the people and work that drive the business.
