Adult Day Center Supervisor in Bedford, Pennsylvania at Community LIFE

Location: Bedford, PA

Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm

Summary of Job Duties:
The Day Center Supervisor is responsible for the general supervision and training of the day center staff (Aides) including, but not limited to: coordination/delegation of daily tasks to ensure the day center Plan of Care is followed, performance management, communication with other departments, problem solving and compliance with Community LIFE policies, procedures and regulatory requirements. The Day Center Supervisor maintains the day-to-day operations of the day center to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for participants. The Day Center Supervisor must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess, plan care for and provide service to frail elders according to assigned responsibilities and Community LIFE standards.

Required Education: Associates degree or equivalent in public health, nursing or social work or an equivalent combination of education and experience. An equivalent substitution for an Associates degree is a minimum of two years of demonstrated successful experience as an effective team member in a PACE model with one of those years in a supervisory or lead capacity.

Required Experience: A minimum of two years’ experience in geriatric health care setting. Supervisory/lead experience is required.

Required Certifications and Licensure: Valid PA Driver's License. CNA preferred.

Knowledge of needs of elderly population in various disciplines.

Ability to give direction to day center staff.

Ability to accept and utilize supervision to maintain high standards of quality.

Ability to work effectively as a team member with staff, participants, providers and referral sources.

Effective written and oral communication skills.

Strong organizational and planning skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong teamwork and conflict resolution skills.
