As Vice President of Sales, you will lead sales strategy and drive revenue growth by developing high-performing teams and building strong relationships with C-suite executives and key decision-makers. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a central role in shaping commercial strategy, expanding the client base, and delivering measurable business results. You will combine executive-level solution selling with hands-on leadership, supporting complex negotiations and helping your team close strategic opportunities. Working closely with engineering and other internal stakeholders, you will ensure customer needs are translated into compelling solutions and proposals. This role is suited to an ambitious sales professional ready to lead a team, strengthen sales processes, and establish a proactive market presence. You will have the opportunity to influence business direction while building a profitable, customer-focused sales organization.

Accountabilities:

As VP Sales, you will oversee sales performance, lead strategic commercial initiatives, and develop a team capable of consistently achieving ambitious revenue objectives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Report directly to the CEO and contribute to the company's overall commercial strategy and growth objectives.

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with business priorities, market opportunities, and revenue targets.

  • Lead the sales team as the proactive external face of the business, strengthening market presence and building relationships with prospective and existing clients.

  • Establish, monitor, and achieve sales goals, team activity targets, and performance objectives while driving profitable growth.

  • Deliver sales presentations to key clients alongside sales representatives, communicating sophisticated solutions clearly and persuasively.

  • Meet with senior decision-makers and C-suite executives to maintain relationships, negotiate agreements, and close high-value deals.

  • Leverage existing executive-level relationships and professional networks to generate new business opportunities and expand the customer base.

  • Coordinate collaboration between the sales department and engineering teams to align customer requirements with appropriate technical solutions.

  • Guide the development of proposals and solutions for the team's opportunities, ensuring they address client needs and demonstrate clear value.

  • Prepare weekly sales reports covering sales volume, pipeline opportunities, projected sales, and potential areas for customer-base expansion.

  • Train, coach, and develop sales associates, helping them strengthen their selling capabilities and consistently improve results.

  • Lead by example through personal sales contributions while actively supporting team members in progressing and closing deals.

  • Monitor customer satisfaction and maintain strong client relationships throughout the sales process.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an accomplished solution sales professional with executive-level selling experience, strong commercial judgment, and the ability to build and lead a profitable sales organization. You should be comfortable managing complex sales cycles while coaching others to achieve ambitious goals. The following qualifications and skills are expected:

  • A strong track record of success in solution sales, particularly when engaging C-suite executives and senior decision-makers.

  • Current experience leading a sales team or demonstrated readiness to transition from a high-performing individual contributor into a sales leadership role.

  • An established network of C-suite clients and prospects is highly desirable, particularly relationships that could generate opportunities for new solutions.

  • Proven ability to train, coach, and develop sales professionals using structured sales methodologies and systems.

  • Demonstrated success selling sophisticated solutions and communicating their value to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong business development capabilities, with the ability to expand customer relationships, identify opportunities, and deliver profitable sales growth.

  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with executives, public groups, and boards of directors.

  • Well-developed negotiation and deal-closing skills, supported by sound commercial judgment.

  • Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities, with the capacity to uncover prospect needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and navigate complex situations where processes and requirements may not be fully standardized.

  • Ability to interpret and communicate instructions in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or scheduling formats.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • A self-motivated, proactive approach, with the ability to balance personal sales performance with team leadership and development.

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.

Benefits:

  • Sales team leadership: Build, coach, and develop a sales team focused on achieving ambitious commercial objectives.

  • Strategic client engagement: Work directly with C-suite executives and key decision-makers on complex, high-value opportunities.

  • Commercial impact: Influence sales strategy, expand the customer base, and drive profitable business growth.

  • Hands-on leadership: Combine personal sales contributions with coaching and support to help the wider team succeed.

  • Remote work: The position is advertised as remote, with New York listed as the preferred location.

  • Full-time role: Take on a leadership position with responsibility for sales execution, team performance, and client satisfaction.
