Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Director of Community Services will be responsible for the operations of the following programs: Community Support Program, Behavioral Health Justice-Involved, Recovery Coaching, and Opioid Intervention. This position will oversee these programs and all involved operations to ensure programmatic quality and integrity. This position will serve as a point of contact for outreach as well as forwarding the goals and mission of Gosnold to community groups and organizations.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide support, supervision, and oversight to Clinical Manager and Program Supervisor of Community-Based Programs.
- Manage BHJI waitlist and case assignments.
- Coordinate state and regional BHJI meetings.
- Function as lead representative with justice entities (including House of Corrections (HOC), Probation, Parole, and Recovery Court) and all outpatient and community partners.
- Oversee coordination of individuals releasing from incarceration to program placement.
- Review operational procedures to identify needs/problems and develop recommendations for solutions.
- Ensure all teams adhere to policies and procedures and attend all assigned trainings, meetings, and supervisions.
- Provide leadership, direction, consultation, and support to all programs as needed. Identify key processes and lead change initiatives to achieve service excellence. Work with managers and staff to incorporate quality and process improvement methodology in the performance of their work and to monitor, evaluate, and improve the quality of patient care and services.
- Support and foster an environment where potential safety and clinical risks are identified and proactively addressed before a problem occurs.
- Participate in the development and implementation of strategic plans, visions, goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures, and organizational structure for all community-based programs.
- Plan, direct, monitor, and evaluate daily operations to ensure patients are provided with high-quality services that are consistent with contracting specifications and in accordance with the Quality Management Plan (QMP).
- Participate in professional outreach activities to further develop community partnerships, potential referral sources, and the growth of the programs.
- Ensure compliance and work in conjunction with standards pertaining to credentialing agencies such as the Joint Commission and the Department of Public Health.
- Work in collaboration with the care teams, identify the appropriate level of care, and provide additional professional support for patients as needed.

- MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare-related field. Extensive experience in addiction programs may be substituted for the academic requirement.
- Experience: Two (2) years of management or supervisory experience. Two (2) years of experience in behavioral health and/or substance use disorder treatment. Two (2) years of experience in community-based care management or hospital-based social work is preferred. Two (2) years of experience in community outreach is preferred.
- Skills: Management or supervisory skills required. Knowledge of patient treatment plans/care plans preferred.
- Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Independent licensure in counseling or social work preferred.
