That's why we are proud to partner with Gordon State College to offer the URMC-Gordon Nursing Scholarship Program.

Eligible nursing students may receive up to $2,500 per semester to help offset the cost of nursing school and focus on what matters most: your education and your future career.

This program does more than provide financial assistance. It offers a direct pathway to a rewarding nursing career at URMC, where you'll join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care with compassion, excellence, and purpose.

Students who:

• Are accepted into or enrolled in the Gordon State College Nursing Program
• Maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
• Are committed to becoming a Registered Nurse and pursuing employment at URMC upon graduation

Preference is given to students residing in Upson, Lamar, and Pike Counties, helping us strengthen and support the healthcare workforce right here in our communities.

As part of the process, applicants will submit:

• A 500-word essay
• Two faculty recommendations
• Transcript or proof of good academic standing
• Complete an interview with the URMC Scholarship Committee

Scholarship recipients agree to:

• Complete the nursing program
• Obtain RN licensure
• Work full-time at URMC for two years following graduation
