This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Product Manager Tech Products based in the United States.

This role connects commercial insurance strategy with technology execution, helping transform business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical solutions.
You will shape and maintain the technology roadmap across a complex portfolio while balancing customer needs, compliance obligations, and organizational priorities.
Working closely with product, engineering, underwriting, compliance, QA, program management, and external partners, you will guide initiatives from planning through delivery.
You will bring structure to the product backlog, strengthen agile delivery practices, and ensure teams are prepared to execute effectively.
Your work will help improve operational readiness, platform stability, customer experience, and long-term technology performance.
This is an opportunity to influence meaningful technology decisions within a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
The role is remote within the United States, with an in-person interview potentially required during the hiring process.

Accountabilities
  • Translate commercial insurance product strategies into scalable technology roadmaps, aligning priorities with regulatory deadlines, business objectives, and system dependencies.
  • Own and communicate assigned roadmap initiatives, keeping stakeholders informed of progress, dependencies, risks, trade-offs, and delivery considerations.
  • Drive effective Agile/Scrum practices by maintaining backlog health, ensuring sprint readiness, clarifying roles, and supporting predictable delivery across teams.
  • Develop clear, high-quality product requirements, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability to product, R&D, and compliance documentation.
  • Partner with engineering and program management teams to plan releases, assess technical feasibility, identify cross-domain impacts, and proactively reduce delivery risks.
  • Manage backlog priorities while balancing regulatory accuracy, operational readiness, customer experience, platform stability, performance, and competing business needs.
  • Define and monitor product metrics that measure performance, adoption, delivery outcomes, and overall product success.
  • Represent customer and stakeholder needs throughout planning and delivery, translating complex business and technical challenges into actionable priorities.
  • Collaborate across Insurance Product, R&D, Underwriting, Compliance, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Program Management, and external technology partners to ensure coordinated execution.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical product management experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in product management and/or product design, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives from initiation through completion.
  • Experience managing products through the full delivery lifecycle, from roadmap planning and requirements definition through release and ongoing improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience defining and implementing product metrics to evaluate performance and success.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software delivery and experience working effectively with Scrum teams.
  • Knowledge of property and casualty (P&C) insurance technology is strongly preferred, including an understanding of functionality, limitations, advantages, and future technology direction.
  • Familiarity with the broader insurance technology ecosystem, including common integrations, system dependencies, and cross-platform considerations.
  • Strong backlog and roadmap management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing requirements and maintain focus on business and customer outcomes.
  • Proven ability to influence product, engineering, and cross-functional business teams through strong communication, collaboration, and earned leadership.
  • Ability to simplify and clearly communicate complex business, technical, and operational problems to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills, with strong stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Comfortable working independently, navigating ambiguity, managing dependencies, and coordinating complex initiatives across multiple teams.
Benefits
  • Base salary ranging from $77,283 to $179,048 USD, depending on location, with a typical California hiring range of $123,077.70 to $170,941.25.
  • Competitive compensation with potential incentive and performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Remote flexibility for most positions, allowing employees to work from anywhere in the United States.
  • Paid vacation and sick time, plus 9 paid company holidays and volunteer hours.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, and pet insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match.
  • Education assistance and professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Promotional and career growth opportunities.
  • Health and wellbeing resources, including mental wellbeing therapy and coaching sessions.
  • Childcare and eldercare support resources.
  • Employee recognition programs and an engaging, collaborative work environment.
  • Opportunity to contribute to a technology roadmap supporting a major commercial insurance portfolio.
  • An in-person interview may be required as part of the hiring process.
