Who we want… (Requirements)

  • Pursing Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in 3D building modeling software (e.g., Revit) and experience with BIM workflows
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems and building codes (e.g., IBC, ASHRAE, NFPA).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with attention to detail and a proactive attitude.



Qualifications

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

  • Assist senior engineers in understanding project requirements and client needs.
  • Support the development of mechanical and plumbing system designs.
  • Contribute to the development of plans, specifications, and design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Help perform energy and load calculations under supervision.
  • Select and schedule mechanical equipment with guidance.
  • Participate in cost and value analysis discussions with the project team.
  • Contribute to the development of plans, specifications, and design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Participate in quality control reviews, learning to identify design inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and engineering teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Help review contractor RFIs, shop drawings, and product submittals, with support from senior staff
  • Attend internal and client meetings to gain exposure to project coordination and communication practices.
  • Engage in on-the-job training and mentorship, actively building technical and professional skills.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Periodic overnight travel to visit jobsites where the ability to traverse undeveloped terrain may be required.

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear. They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.
