Position Summary

Performs structural welding independently on moderate complexity assemblies while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

Essential Duties

• Interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Weld structural assemblies with limited supervision.
• Set up and adjust the welding equipment.
• Perform multi-pass welds in various positions.
• Inspect welds for compliance with quality standards.
• Assist in training Welder I employees.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass intermediate welding qualification tests.
• Strong knowledge of welding practices and procedures.
• Ability to operate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment.

Experience

• 2–5 years of structural welding experience.

• Perform structural welding independently on moderately complex assemblies.
• Maintain required productivity, quality, and safety standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and specifications.
• Weld structural assemblies with limited supervision.
• Set up, operate, and adjust welding equipment.
• Perform multi-pass welds in various welding positions.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assist with training and mentoring Welder I employees.
• Operate oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment as needed.
• Ability to pass intermediate-level welding qualification tests.
• Strong understanding of welding practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and welding specifications.
• Proficiency with oxy-fuel and plasma cutting equipment.
• 2–5 years of structural welding experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
