Sky Chefs with over 75 years of Catering history is hiring immediately for Full-Time team players to prepare products for our Airline, E-Commerce, and Retail customers. We are the worlds leading provider of end-toend airline products and services with a fast-growing footprint in Convenience Retail and Subscription Food Service.

Description of Duties:

Responsible for sanitizing and cutting vegetables and fruits in accordance with department requisitions. Need to decant and rotate heavy containers of produce. Maintain and store produce within proper temperatures. Perform job duties in a timely manner. Keep production areas in compliance with sanitation standards set by HACCP, FDA, USDA, and customers requirements. Additional responsibilities may be added as deemed necessary.

Gather racks, supplies, food ingredients, prepare food per flight specs, move cakes to freezers, cut into serving size pieces when frozen, place in serving dishes on large trays. Move in freezer

Jobs Skills and Qualifications:

• Must be able to speak, read and understand English
• Must have a good attendance record
• Must be able to walk/stoop/ bend/ stand for entire work shift
• Must know wide variety of produce types (vegetable and fruits) about 400
• Must be able to assess freshness and quality of produce
• Must be able sanitize and cut produce
• Must be able to rotate case products.
• Must be able decant pre-processed produce (30-50 pound containers or trays)
• Must understand food safety requirements surrounding production area
• Must know chemicals used to sanitize produce
• Must be able to complete required food safety documents throughout shift
• Must have the ability to lift and move heavy cases of raw product (30 50 pounds) for decanting and cleaned product
• Perform other food prep work as requested
• Must be able to use knives, cutting board, mobile shelving cards, meat slicer and related industrial kitchen equipment
• Must be able to follow VPS
• Must be able to FIFO
• Must be flexible and have the ability to react to changing priorities
• Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Must be flexible to work in a 24/7 environment which includes nights, weekend, holidays subject to change due to shift bidding.

Eligible candidates must:

• Be 18 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
• Pass a background check and clear a drug screen
• Be able to stand for the FULL duration of the shift
• Be available to work in a 38- degree cold room, only when necessary
• Be a team player and work well with a diverse team from all over the world!
• Ability to comprehend verbal & written specifications in English
• Possess basic math skills
• MUST be able to work a Flexible schedule; This is a 24 hour operation, 7 days a week

Additional eligibility requirements and details:

• This is a Union Position- must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days
• Must be available to work a full-time position, including Weekends and Holidays as needed
• Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English
• Ability to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently. Bend / stoop & twist repeatedly & stand for 8 12 hours a day
