SR/Especialista DevOps

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SR/Especialista DevOps based in Brazil.

This role is focused on strengthening platform engineering practices, automation, and infrastructure reliability within a modern technology environment.
You will help shape development workflows by improving CI/CD pipelines, automation strategies, and developer experiences.
The position combines DevOps expertise, cloud infrastructure, security practices, and software engineering to enable scalable solutions.
You will contribute to standardizing engineering processes, increasing delivery efficiency, and improving platform maturity.
Working closely with development teams, you will design tools and practices that accelerate innovation while maintaining reliability and security.

Accountabilities:

The SR/Especialista DevOps will be responsible for evolving platform engineering capabilities, improving automation workflows, and ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable software delivery processes.

  • Improve the software development lifecycle by supporting continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) practices.
  • Create, maintain, and evolve reusable GitLab CI pipeline templates to standardize workflows across development teams.
  • Develop automation solutions using Shell Script, Python, and Docker for tooling, bootstrapping, and pipeline execution.
  • Manage, monitor, and optimize GitLab Runners to ensure reliability and performance.
  • Evolve GitLab platform practices, including branch strategies, merge policies, integrations, and version management.
  • Implement Shift Left security practices by integrating SAST, container scanning, and security guard rails into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Develop internal engineering tools using Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
  • Operate Kubernetes environments and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Crossplane.
  • Contribute to the continuous evolution of Platform Engineering practices and improve the developer experience.
  • Promote automation, scalability, security, and operational excellence across engineering workflows.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a senior DevOps or Platform Engineering professional with strong automation skills, experience in production environments, and the ability to design scalable engineering solutions.

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, SRE, or related roles, working with production environments.
  • Strong experience with GitLab CI/CD, including reusable templates, runners, and integrations.
  • Advanced knowledge of Shell Script and Python for automation.
  • Experience with Docker, including image optimization, multi-stage builds, and security best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of source code management practices, including branch policies, Conventional Commits, and Semantic Versioning.
  • Solid understanding of the complete CI lifecycle, including linting, builds, automated testing, static code analysis, and artifact publishing.
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Crossplane.
  • Knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and NestJS.
  • Strong Linux knowledge and experience working in Linux-based environments.
  • Experience developing internal tools for engineering platforms is a plus.
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps practices is a plus.
  • Experience with React is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
