About the Role
The Financial Analyst plays an important role in helping JSX understand business performance and make informed financial decisions. Youll develop budgets and forecasts, analyze monthly results, build financial and operational KPIs, and partner with leaders to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
Youll also tackle ad hoc analyses across areas including Flight Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, and other corporate functions, giving you broad exposure to how the JSX business operates. From evaluating capital investments to preparing financial information for senior management, youll have the opportunity to see your analysis translate into real business decisions.
A Day in the Life
In this role, youll:
- Develop a deep understanding of JSXs business model and the key financial and operational drivers behind its performance.
- Partner with business leaders to develop departmental budgets and forecasts.
- Review monthly financial results and prepare departmental variance analyses that clearly explain performance against plan.
- Analyze financial and operational performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop financial and non-financial key performance indicators that help teams measure performance and business success.
- Complete ad hoc financial analyses supporting Flight Operations, Aircraft Maintenance, and other corporate departments.
- Support internal capital projects through financial analysis, business case development, and preparation for executive approval.
- Partner with Accounting to review, reclassify, and appropriately align expenses.
- Build clear financial reporting that translates detailed data into actionable business insights.
- Prepare and present financial information, findings, and recommendations to senior management.

Required Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited university.
- 02 years of experience in corporate finance, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), or a related analytical field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business partners across departments.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and develop a strong understanding of the business.
Preferred Experience
- Airline or aviation industry experience.
- General accounting and month-end close experience.
- Experience designing or developing reports within an ERP system.
- Experience with financial planning, reporting, or analytical tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning or Power BI.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct, including its budgeting and planning capabilities.

Compensation Range:
