Facilities Maintenance Technician DAYS Full-time

Employer: Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI) at Olathe Medical Center, now, University of Kansas Health System, 20333 W. 151st Street, Olathe, KS 66061

Full-time, Typical Workweek: Wed – Sat shift 630a – 5pm , mandatory paid on-call (rotate on-call with team members; typically every 3-4 weeks scheduled on-call); remains on-call for 10 days

Vanguard Resources, Inc. (VRI), is actively recruiting for a Facilities Maintenance Technician in a Hospital envrironment. The Maintenance Technician will work with a variety of systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, and more! Perform preventive and on-demand maintenance on hospital facilities and equipment to ensure hospital systems meet safety codes and regulations. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will keep job site/area clean, safe, and organized. Every VRI team member is a Safety Champion!

COMPENSATION

Facilities Maintenance Technician will earn competitive starting wages; could go up from here!

  • Rate is determined by Job level; job level is determined by amount of technical knowledge, skills and past experience!

- Skilled (Level IV): $32.50 (must have solid MEP, Plumbing, HVAC Refrig experience)

- Level II or III: $27 - $30 (2-5+ years General Maintenance experience)

- Entry-Level & Level I: $25 (no experience required; exposure to general mechanical tasks; basic maintenance knowledge)

HIRING BONUS
• $500 after 1st month
• $500 after 2nd month
• $500 after 3rd month

WHAT YOU’LL DO
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance throughout the facility
• Work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems
• Troubleshoot and respond to maintenance requests
• Help ensure systems meet safety and operational standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
• Participate in possible on-call rotation as needed

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• Reliable, dependable, and eager to learn • Good communication and teamwork skills • Comfortable using computers and technology • Mechanical, construction, electrical, plumbing, or maintenance experience preferred • OSHA 10 certification is a plus, but not required


• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation • Must pass background check and 10-panel drug screen • Must complete required health screenings/vaccines • Ability to communicate effectively in EnglishPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, and work in confined spaces • Ability to work in varying indoor temperatures and conditionsmoderate.
