Job Description

Kept Companies is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shop Manager to help maintain the safety, compliance, and readiness of our shop and fleet. This role is responsible for inspecting vehicles as they arrive, checking vehicles already on-site, and ensuring equipment is properly prepared and ready for daily operations.

Working primarily in the shop, you will help identify potential safety concerns, verify vehicle readiness, and keep fleet operations organized and running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles as they arrive at the shop and check vehicles already on-site.
• Verify vehicles are safe, properly equipped, and ready for daily operations.
• Identify and report vehicle damage, maintenance needs, safety concerns, or compliance issues.
• Confirm required equipment and supplies are present and properly secured.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and report issues requiring follow-up.
• Keep the shop, fleet area, and equipment organized and in proper order.
• Communicate inspection findings and outstanding issues to the appropriate team members.
• Support a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to follow inspection checklists and established procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working an early-morning schedule.
• Ability to communicate issues clearly and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Previous experience in fleet maintenance, vehicle inspections, safety, compliance, or shop operations is preferred.
• Valid driver's license preferred; additional requirements may depend on job duties.

Schedule

• Hours: 4:00 AM – 10:00 AM
• Shift: Early morning
• Must be available to inspect vehicles as they arrive and verify the readiness of vehicles already on-site.
