Spray Team Leader

At FineTurf, this role is about more than spraying lawns. You lead a team of 6 to 8 spray technicians, set the standard for quality, and make sure every route is done right the first time.

We are looking for an experienced lawn care professional who can develop technicians, hold a high standard, and hit team production goals. This role is built to stay focused: routing is handled by our Operations Manager, and service calls, upset customers, and cancellations are handled by our Agronomist. That leaves you free to train and lead your people.

• Starting at $65,000 per year, based on experience

• Monday through Friday schedule, with Saturdays only when the team is behind on production

• Coach, train, and support a team of 6 to 8 spray technicians through morning huddles and 1-on-1s
• Make sure every truck is mixed correctly and equipment is ready before the team leaves the shop
• Run technician inspections and quality checks to keep callbacks low
• Review technician notes daily and hold the team to FineTurf’s SOPs
• Track team production, charge rate, and callback rate using mobile software and reporting tools
• Oversee new hire training and sign off technicians who are ready to run routes on their own
• Set the tone for professionalism, accountability, and teamwork

• 2 or more years of lawn care or turf application experience
• Success leading and developing a team
• Strong knowledge of turf, weeds, and correct product mixing and application
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Organized and comfortable using technology
• North Carolina pesticide license required
• Positive, adaptable attitude and a solutions-focused leadership style
• Results-driven and self-motivated
