Job Description

The Sr Project Order Associate position is responsible for preparing all client weigh work orders and for all activities related to Johnson & Johnson project orders. This role will also assist Site Manager with oversight of production team duties to ensure smooth operations within the site.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

May include some or all of the following. Other additional duties may be assigned:

Prepare work orders for the day and distribute to the team

Main point of contact for all activities related to Johnson & Johnson, including:

Receive, ship and store all chemical compounds for Johnson & Johnson

Prepare shipping documents, labels, etc. for chemical compounds being shipped to Johnson & Johnson

Register any incoming chemical compounds related to Johnson & Johnson

Works with Operational Manager on client-facing communications, including meetings, email communications, etc.

Assists Site Manager as needed with oversight of production team duties

Works with Site Manager to train new production team members

Process client weigh order request – including precisely measuring chemicals per order instructions

Perform tare weigh, weight capture and gross weigh for all orders

Maintain inventory control with the use of computerized systems

Maintains a clean and safe working environment – including wiping down work area, thoroughly cleaning all utensils, restock supplies, sweep work station and remove all trash

Follow standard operating procedures and ensure deadlines are met

Maintains regular work schedule and is free from excessive absenteeism or tardiness

Performs all other duties as assigned

Internal and External Relationship and Level of Interaction

Internal: High level of interaction with staff across all departments

External: Medium level of interaction with external vendors and contacts

Supervisory Responsibilities

Will have direct and/or indirect oversight of other production team members. Will mentor, train, guide and assign/direct work as needed. Carries out some supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Will work with Operational Manager (NL) and Site Manager to address complaints and resolve problems.

Education and/or experience

Prior experience working with small weight scales 0.00001g to 240g is a plus

Thorough attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of on demand work flows in a warehouse/distribution facility is a plus

Ability to follow directions and retain information on projects/processes.

High school diploma or GED required

Experience of general lab/warehouse safety and chemical compliance is a plus

Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including lab coat, gloves and, on request, face mask while performing job duties

Physical requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit, talk, listen, and use hands and fingers to perform weigh duties

Must be able to sit for extended periods

Ability to use fine motor skills and handle chemicals to weigh small quantity vials

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements to perform weigh duties

May lift up to 50-75 lbs (with partner assistance)
