About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Greenhouse Laborer to join our team in the Agriculture industry. As a Greenhouse Laborer, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper care and maintenance of plants and crops in our greenhouse facilities. Your primary goal will be to assist in the growth and development of high-quality produce that meets our standards of excellence. You will work closely with our team of experienced growers and horticulturists to ensure that our greenhouse operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Experience working in a greenhouse or similar agricultural setting
- Knowledge of basic plant care and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture or related field
- Experience with hydroponic growing systems
- Familiarity with greenhouse equipment and technology
- Ability to operate heavy machinery, such as tractors and forklifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planting, watering, and harvesting of crops in our greenhouse facilities
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the proper disposal of waste and debris
- Monitor plant growth and development, and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel
- Operate and maintain greenhouse equipment, including irrigation systems, lighting, and ventilation
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Skills:
As a Greenhouse Laborer, you will utilize your knowledge of plant care and maintenance to ensure the proper growth and development of crops in our greenhouse facilities. You will also use your attention to detail and ability to follow instructions to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Additionally, you may use your experience with hydroponic growing systems and familiarity with greenhouse equipment and technology to assist in the operation and maintenance of our facilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills will also be essential in working closely with our team of growers and horticulturists.
