Position SummaryWe are seeking a dependable, energetic Assistant Manager to help oversee the daily operations of our fast-paced sports bar and restaurant. The Assistant Manager works closely with the General Manager and management team to provide excellent guest service, lead and support team members, maintain restaurant standards, and ensure smooth operations throughout each shift.This is a hands-on management position for someone who is comfortable working alongside the team while also providing leadership and direction.ResponsibilitiesAssist with opening and closing the restaurant and completing required opening/closing proceduresLead FOH operations during assigned shifts and help ensure smooth, efficient serviceSupervise, coach, and support servers, bartenders, hosts, expos, and other team membersMaintain high standards for guest service and promptly address guest concernsHelp ensure food and beverages are prepared and delivered accurately and efficientlyMonitor restaurant cleanliness, organization, and overall appearanceEnsure employees follow company policies, food safety procedures, alcohol-service requirements, and sanitation standardsAssist with employee training and developmentHelp manage shift coverage, breaks, and staffing needsMonitor ticket times and coordinate with the kitchen during high-volume periodsAssist with cash handling, register procedures, deposits, and end-of-shift paperwork as assignedHelp monitor inventory, product levels, waste, and restaurant suppliesSupport management with daily operational tasks and communicate issues requiring follow-upHelp create a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environmentStep into operational positions when needed to support the teamQualificationsMinimum 1 year of restaurant supervisory, key-holder, or management experienceSports bar, casual dining, or high-volume restaurant experience preferredStrong leadership and communication skillsDependable, organized, and able to make decisions in a fast-paced environmentStrong guest-service and problem-solving skillsComfortable handling cash and basic restaurant reportingAbility to work effectively with both FOH and BOH team membersMust be available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidaysFood Manager and alcohol-service certifications required or must be obtained within the required timeframePhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to work in a fast-paced restaurant environmentAbility to lift and carry up to 40 pounds as neededSchedule & CompensationThis is a full-time hourly position averaging approximately 40 hours per week.
