Description:

The Moove Reliability Services Department is aligned with the goals and objectives of our sales and operations teams to expand our customer relationships as a provider of lubricants and related services.

Our Field Technicians serve customers within our geographic regions (PODs). Projects and tasks to be performed are sold by the sales team, which leverages our capabilities to grow business. Industries served include personal and commercial vehicle service facilities (on and off road) as well as a wide range of industrial and power generation customers.

The level I Field Technician must have the ability to perform basic tasks of assembly, diagnosis and troubleshooting of bulk storage and dispensing equipment as well as transfer systems. Also – a variety of tasks related to the application of lubricants at our customer sites may be included. This can range from oil and grease sampling to equipment tagging, component replacements, etc. The person must be adept at using hand tools and mastering the physical demands of the duties. The person must also be extremely communicative both with internal and external customers.

Primary Duties include:

  • Assembly and repair of bulk storage and dispensing components.
  • Loading and off loading of assembled systems onto trucks.
  • Transportation of systems to customer sites.
  • Installation of new systems and tank monitors at customer sites.
  • On Site and remote diagnosis of pumping and dispensing systems.
  • Maintenance and repair of department lubrication equipment, including pumps, hoses, filtration and other processing systems.
  • Maintain accurate asset service information including service summaries and inventory control
  • Maintain a clean work environment including workstations, facilities, equipment, vehicles, outside environment.

Other duties may include:

  • Set up and delivery of rental assets to customer sites.
  • Lubricant Sampling and sample processing
  • Gear Condition documentation
  • Equipment Tagging
  • Pumping of oils, greases and fluids
  • Operating filtration and other oil services equipment
  • Reservoir cleaning and maintenance
  • Assist field sales people as directed
  • Other as assigned

Preferred Background and Experience:

  • Basic awareness of mechanical systems and maintenance practices.
  • Basic understanding of the concepts of “reliability minded” approaches to asset uptime and operational management.
  • Excellent Communication skills and cross function team consideration.
Requirements:

Requirements include:

  • A HS Diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to progress in knowledge and expertise and demonstrate abilities to positively impact our business.
  • Fields inquiries and effectively direct them to appropriate people for action.
  • Valid Drivers' License.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight travel as required occasionally for multiple consecutive nights.
  • Math capability: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, circumference, and volume; and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, rations, and proportions to practical situations
  • Reasoning ability: Able to olve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may be present.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer Utilization Abilities: Individual must demonstrate ability to use basic capabilities of computer and mobile phone / device. Person must be able to utilize basic functionality of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
  • The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, stand, sit, and occasionally walk significant distances during a work shift.
