KEY-BAK- SHIPPING & RECEIVING ASSOCIATE

We are seeking a Shipping and Receiving Associate that is responsible for managing the efficient movement of goods in and out of the facility. This includes handling all shipping duties and overseeing the accurate and timely receipt of incoming materials, products, and supplies. WHAT THE ROLE DOES:

  • Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately, selecting appropriate materials and applying correct destination and tracking information
  • Generate shipping labels and documentation in the ERP or manual systems, following customer instructions and preferred carriers such as USPS, UPS and FedEx
  • Palletize, wrap, and stage outgoing freight, obtaining weights and dimensions for freight quotes as needed
  • Verify outgoing shipments against packing slips and order details before release
  • Schedule carrier pickups, communicate shipment status to internal teams, and complete end-of-day shipping tasks and reporting
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage, verifying items against purchase orders and packing slips
  • Enter received goods into inventory management systems and stock items in proper storage locations
  • Partner with purchasing and production to resolve discrepancies, and communicate shipping or receiving delays to operations and customer service
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and proper storage of goods
  • Follow company safety and quality standards, participate in team meetings, and suggest process improvements
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 25 lbs. frequently while standing, walking, and using stairs throughout the day
  • Operate warehouse equipment in manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust and temperature fluctuations
  • Keep the receiving area, supplies, and work environment clean, organized, and safe, taking on other duties that support team success

THE BACKGROUND THAT FITS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in shipping and receiving, preferably in a manufacturing setting
  • Familiarity with carrier shipping software- USPS, UPS, FedEx and basic inventory systems
  • Small parcel shipping experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating online portals
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with reliability and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
  • Works independently and adapts in a dynamic, team-based environment
  • Forklift certification a plus, or willing to obtain
