Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A. (QPWB), a multi-office national defense firm and the largest minority- and women-owned law firm in the United States, is seeking an experienced File Clerk to join our Glendale office, supporting our Workers’ Compensation Defense practice. This is a full-time, in-office position offering competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

About the Role

The File Clerk will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of a busy Workers’ Compensation Defense practice. This position will be responsible for processing, organizing, maintaining, and distributing incoming mail, correspondence, and legal documents while ensuring case files remain accurate and up to date.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner who is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing a high volume of documents in a fast-paced law office environment. Consistency, attention to detail, and strong follow-through are essential for success in this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Sort and process incoming physical mail, emailed documents, and electronic faxes
  • Distribute incoming documents and correspondence to the appropriate attorneys, legal staff, and case files
  • Scan, digitize, index, and archive mail and legal documents within the firm’s electronic case management system
  • Organize, label, and maintain legal documents, medical records, correspondence, and other case materials
  • Ensure documents are accurately saved and maintained within the appropriate electronic files
  • Retrieve requested files and documents for the firm’s diary and task system, legal and medical projects, and attorney court calendars
  • Process and coordinate outgoing mail and mailings, including materials for remote team members
  • Assist with exhibit preparation and organization as needed
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls
  • Assist with maintaining office organization and replenishing supplies
  • Help ensure common office areas remain organized and properly maintained
  • Provide additional clerical and administrative support to attorneys and legal staff as needed
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of law office experience preferred
  • Prior experience in a file clerk, records, legal administrative, or similar law firm support role preferred
  • Experience scanning, digitizing, indexing, and archiving legal documents within a case management system
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to consistently follow established document and mail management procedures
  • Ability to manage a high volume of documents and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a legal team
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
