This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a BC Practice Director based in the United States.
In this role, you will lead the strategic direction and operational success of a high-performing Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform practice. You will be responsible for shaping delivery excellence, driving financial performance, and ensuring consistent execution across consulting, solution architecture, development, and project management teams. This is a senior leadership position with significant influence over both business outcomes and technical delivery standards. You will oversee Practice Managers while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. The role requires a balance of strategic planning and hands-on leadership, including involvement in SOW review, utilization management, and escalation resolution. You will also play a key role in identifying capability gaps and strengthening team skillsets to support evolving client needs. - Define and drive the strategic vision, goals, and operational roadmap for the practice in alignment with broader organizational objectives.
- Lead and manage Practice Managers overseeing project managers, consultants, solution architects, developers, and technical leads.
- Oversee practice performance, ensuring utilization targets, delivery efficiency, and financial KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Review and approve Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring alignment with delivery scope, profitability, and client expectations.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex delivery, technical, and client-related issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Develop and implement practice methodologies, standards, and best practices to improve consistency and delivery quality.
- Identify skill gaps across teams and design upskilling, hiring, and development strategies to address capability needs.
- Support annual OKR planning and drive execution against defined business and performance objectives.
- Provide guidance on application and technology decisions to improve operational efficiency and client outcomes.
- Monitor financial performance including revenue, cost control, and profitability, ensuring sustainable practice growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in a senior leadership role within a consulting, systems integration, or professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, or similar enterprise application ecosystems.
- Proven track record of managing large, multi-disciplinary delivery teams across technical and functional domains.
- Strong experience in project delivery governance, consulting methodologies, and enterprise implementation lifecycles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage financial performance, including revenue forecasting, utilization, and profitability metrics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at executive level.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate business goals into actionable execution plans.
- Experience reviewing SOWs, managing client expectations, and supporting contract or commercial discussions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth, and client-facing consulting environment.
- Competitive base salary aligned with leadership-level market standards ($180,000 – $205,000 USD)
