Job Description
GENERAL SUMMARY
This position is accountable for providing machining, assembly, and building maintenance support to all internal customers. The objective is to meet or exceed all our customers’ expectations in a timely, safe and cost-effective way.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Effectively utilize Leadership Standards to create an environment that empowers people to achieve business objectives.
- Manage a process of continuous improvement of quality, reduction in downtime, and preventive maintenance to improve customer satisfaction.
- Establish and maintain lean manufacturing and continuous improvement objectives.
- Develop, monitor and implement goals, objectives and measurements with team members to support the operating plan.
- Match employee skills with maintenance needs to maximize resource utilization, maintain quality standards of maintenance.
- Manage the Performance Management System and salary administration program.
- Establish and maintain operating budget for the department.
- Administer policies and procedures timely and consistently to maintain high employee morale.
- Model and promote Leadership Standards to create an environment that mobilizes empowered people to achieve business goals.

SKILLS
- The incumbent must have a working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment systems, in addition to understanding plumbing, fabrication, and electrical work.
- Knowledge in moving, installing production equipment.
- Understanding of the PLC and NC/CNC interaction, as well as AC/DC motor drives, including troubleshooting and repair.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance issues, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and complex electrical repairs and CNC equipment are required.
- In addition, proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Access is required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- BS degree or related experience is required.
- A minimum of five years related experience and supervision in a manufacturing environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The working conditions described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while
performing the principal duties and responsibilities of the job. The performance of this position normally requires exposure to a typical manufacturing area which, under certain conditions, requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. The temperature of the primary work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Industrial lighting provided.
