Job Description
The ACT Team Lead is responsible for providing overall clinical and operational leadership of the assigned multi-disciplinary team. This includes ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising and supporting staff (including coaching, counseling, and personnel actions), and maintaining the program’s financial health by managing census, controlling expenses, and ensuring appropriate use of funds.
Section 3: Major Responsibilities
DIRECT DUTIES:
· Conducts initial assessments and develops treatment plans for clients
· Assigns Direct Care staff to clients
· Evaluates clients on an ongoing basis to adjust treatment as needed
· Maintains an individual caseload as a primary clinician
· Participates in planning and coordinating client care activities
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Supervises and supports team members (coaching, counseling, performance management)
· Assists with hiring, training, and evaluating staff
· Organizes, schedules, and distributes staff workload
· Ensures staff compliance with policies and procedures
· Maintains and monitors regulatory compliance and documentation
· Oversees medical record maintenance
· Ensures 24/7 crisis intervention availability
· Develops and maintains staff scheduling systems
· Ensures operational efficiency of the program
· Monitors and controls program expenses
· Maintains census levels for financial viability
· Ensures proper use of program funds
Section 6: Job Qualifications and Competencies ACT
Job Qualifications
· Clinical license required, such as:
o LPC
o LCSW
o LISW
o RN
o MD
· Valid driver’s license
Education and Experience:
· A graduate degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Work, Nursing, Rehabilitation, Education, or a related human services field
· OR a graduate degree in human services plus relevant experience
· Minimum of three (3) years of direct care experience with adults in:
o Mental Health
o Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities
o Substance Abuse
o Juvenile Justice
o Health Care
o Vocational Rehabilitation or similar programs
· Includes at least two (2) years of community-based treatment experience
Job Competencies
· Clinical competency in assessing clients, developing treatment plans, and managing ongoing care
· Leadership and supervision skills, including coaching, counseling, and performance management
· Knowledge of regulatory standards and ability to ensure compliance and proper documentation
· Program and operational management, including staffing, scheduling, and workflow coordination
· Financial management skills, including expense monitoring and maintaining program viability
· Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff, clients, and external providers
· Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to support clinical and operational needs
