HyerTek is a federal technology consulting firm delivering secure enterprise applications, data analytics, cloud infrastructure, and modernization solutions to federal government agencies.

About this posting: This is an evergreen posting. HyerTek is building a talent pipeline for current and upcoming federal programs. Applying ensures you are considered as new positions open, and our recruiting team will reach out when there is a match.

HyerTek is seeking experienced Power Platform Developers to design and build business applications, automations, and portals on the Microsoft Power Platform for federal customers. You will build model-driven and canvas apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages sites, and reusable components, and extend them with Microsoft Azure services.

A successful candidate will own solutions end to end, from requirements and design through development, testing, deployment, and production support, working directly with customer stakeholders, analysts, and engineering teams. We welcome candidates with Microsoft product, engineering, consulting, or partner experience.

This role uses approved AI-assisted development tools to accelerate code, configuration, testing, and documentation. You are expected to apply sound engineering judgment to review and validate all AI-generated output before it is used in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and build model-driven and canvas Power Apps on Dataverse to modernize customer business processes.

• Develop Power Automate cloud flows for approvals, notifications, assignments, and data synchronization, with error handling and monitoring.

• Build secure Power Pages sites using authentication, web roles, table permissions, forms, lists, and Liquid templates.

• Develop reusable Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls using TypeScript and React.

• Design Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, and role-based security.

• Extend Power Platform solutions with Azure services such as Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, and custom connectors.

• Manage application lifecycle using Azure DevOps or GitHub, Power Platform CLI, managed solutions, and deployment pipelines.

• Support Power BI reporting and analytics, troubleshoot production issues, and produce clear technical documentation and user guidance.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing and deploying production solutions on the Microsoft Power Platform.

• Strong development experience with model-driven and canvas Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.

• Experience developing Power Pages sites and/or PCF controls using TypeScript and React.

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including extending Power Platform solutions with Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management, or custom connectors.

• Experience with Microsoft Entra ID authentication and securing Power Platform environments, data loss prevention (DLP) policies, and role-based access.

• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript; working knowledge of C#/.NET is a plus.

• Experience with application lifecycle management using Azure DevOps or GitHub, managed solutions, and deployment pipelines.

• Demonstrated proficiency using AI-assisted development tools, with the judgment to review and validate AI-generated output.

• Ability to translate business requirements into maintainable technical solutions and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Active Secret security clearance.

• Experience delivering solutions in federal government or Microsoft government cloud environments (GCC, GCC High, or DoD).

• Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement applications.

• Experience with Copilot Studio, AI Builder, or Azure OpenAI integrations.

• Experience with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.

• Familiarity with Section 508 accessibility requirements.

• Microsoft certifications such as Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400), Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600), or Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204).
