Description
Are you a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for leading a team? We are currently seeking a Department Lead to join our fast-paced retail environment. As a Department Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a department within our store. If you have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a proven ability to motivate and inspire others, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Manage and lead a team of employees in the department, including conducting regular team meetings and providing coaching and feedback
Monitor inventory levels and ensure that shelves are adequately stocked at all times
Create and implement strategies to increase department sales and profitability
Ensure that all employees adhere to company policies and procedures
Assist in hiring and on-boarding new employees, as needed
Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to promote repeat business
Conduct regular performance evaluations for department staff and provide recommendations for improvement
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in a leadership position, preferably within the retail industry
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Proven ability to motivate and inspire a team
Basic knowledge of inventory management and merchandising techniques
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
High school diploma or equivalent, a college degree is preferred but not required
