CPLC manages the Hummingbird Project for unaccompanied minors in need of culturally competent whole wellness care. CPLC has 53 years of demonstrated quality experience serving the community as a high-trust organization. Each minor in our care receives case management, education, healthcare, and legal services in a trauma-informed system.
SCHEDULE:
While schedule is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, as the Program Director, this role is expected to adjust their schedule based on the program needs.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Director leads and ensures overall management of the programmatic, administrative, financial, and operational systems related to the provision of care and services; provision of regular and timely reports to Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) regarding operations, services, and finances. The Program Director also serves as the primary representative of CPLC to ORR for all aspects of the program.
- Accounts for the proper management of site finances.

Coordinates the site’s quality assurance protocols to ensure quality standards and service goals are met.

Coordinates logistical planning of goods, services, and equipment to meet the requirements of the contract efficiently and effectively.

Plans, evaluates, and executes deliverables based on the Scope of Work provided by ORR.

Makes decisions based on discussions with the customer regarding changes to the contract or services requested outside the scope of the contract.

Communicates and collaborates with all partners on a regular basis to ensure the needs of the customer are being met; taking corrective action when needs are not met.

Leads, mentors, and develops staff in accordance with contractual and federal regulations. Partners with HR-Employee Culture team when needed to address performance management and areas of growth for staff.

Uses data and metrics to evaluate the performance of the project and staff; taking corrective action as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in social work or equivalent degree in education, psychology, sociology, or other relevant behavioral science degree or a bachelor’s degree plus 5 years’ experience in child welfare administration, child protective services.

2 years of experience in program management or as director of a licensed childcare program.

Currently licensed - or able to obtain - a Licensed Child Care Administrator (LCCA) certification.

A valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required.

Advanced level of proficiency with MS Office products.

Extensive understanding of government and private sector service operations and industry.

Experience coaching, developing, and retaining employees and providing a collaborative and positive work environment. Ability to work with all levels of staff and develop cross-functional relationships.

Experience defining programs and delivering projects that meet rapidly evolving business needs.

Project management skills with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects.

Proven ability to lead and organize multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment with large impact.

Demonstrated ability to develop, mentor and coach team(s) and to act as leadership advisor to lower-level management.

Demonstrated competency in operational and budgetary planning.
