BARTENDER - MORTON'S at Saratoga Harness Racing, Inc. – Natchez, Mississippi

Located on the Mississippi River, on the site of the former Learned’s Mill that operated from 1828 until 1962, Magnolia Bluffs Casino now calls this historic land home. The casino originally opened in 2012 and is currently owned and operated by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. With numerous slot machines and ample table games such as poker, blackjack, roulette and craps as well as delicious dining options, we offer a guest experience unparalleled to others. In addition to our boasting casino, we operate a beautiful hotel with the areas only saltwater pool!

We are now looking to expand our team as we continue to provide the city of Natchez with the best customer service and gaming experience possible! Our current opening is for hotel BARTENDER. This position will report directly to the Director of Hotel Operations, and will be responsible for:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Set up bar and service stations.
• Verbally greet guests and follow up service at bar/table.
• Prepare cocktails and drinks to Morton’s specifications.
• Receive drink orders from servers and guests.
• Serve cocktails and wine at bar/table.
• Ring up and close out bar checks, server’s checks, and collects money from bar patrons.
• Operates POS System and makes accurate cash and financial transactions.
• Promptly and professionally answers the phone and takes guests reservations.
• Delivers food to hotel rooms as needed by management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
• Promotes outstanding relations with all guests and peers.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. TIPS certification required.

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience in fine dining restaurant required and one (1) year previous bartending experience.

Other:

• Able to lift and carry 30 lbs. repeatedly.
• Able to stand and walk for 6-8 hours.

Casino employees may be required to obtain a Mississippi Gaming License. Cost of license is covered by Saratoga Casino Holdings, LLC. Travel to Jackson, MS will be mandatory for this licensing process.
