The Kitchen Manager oversees the daily kitchen operations to ensure every dish served is craveable and consistently meets Neighborly quality standards. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for ordering, inventory management, waste management, and monitoring inventory levels.

What You'll Do

As our Kitchen Manager, you’ll be the go-to person for all things kitchen! You’ll work alongside our Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to oversee daily operations, maintain our high standards, and inspire the kitchen team to deliver top-notch dishes with every order. From ordering and inventory to training and food quality, you'll ensure everything runs smoothly so that every dish leaves our kitchen perfect.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.

  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards, including proper labeling and temperature records.

  • Works closely with the Chef de Cuisine (CDC) to support, train, and develop all kitchen team members. Encourages a culture of collaboration and growth.

  • Supervise kitchen team members to ensure food is prepared and delivered efficiently while maintaining exceptional guest service.

  • Monitor inventory levels and perform weekly inventory assessments.

  • Reduce food cost and optimize profitability by minimizing food waste through proper food rotation and portioning.

  • Work with kitchen team throughout the shift to ensure proper speed of service (ticket times)

  • Schedule work shifts for employees.

  • Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Lead effort to ensure kitchen equipment is in good working order, and report any malfunctions.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Bi-lingual in English/Spanish preferred

  • Professional appearance and demeanor

  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

  • Friendly, approachable, and customer service oriented

  • Sense of urgency and able to work in fast paced environment

  • Ability to work as a team-player

  • Able to work flexible hours as necessary

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity

  • High volume restaurant experience preferred

  • R365 inventory systems experience preferred

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Must have the ability/stamina to work a minimum of 35 hours a week.

  • Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours per day.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data

  • Flexible schedule (Nights, Weekends)

  • Must be able to tolerate potential allergens to include peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $68,700-$72,000/hour dependent on experience

  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits

  • Paid sick time off
