Shipping Coordinator at Metromont – Winchester, Virginia

The overall duties of a Shipping Coordinator Include:

• Send sequence to Loading Crew, Foreman, Field Coordinator and/or outside Erector once sequence is complete for any upcoming jobs
• Build and schedule loads in Concrete Vision once load order has been received from Foreman/Erector
• Send load order to Loading Crew once put in Concrete Vision for shipping
• Maintain constant contact with Foreman, Field Coordinator or Erector on job status to adjust/update loads in Concrete Vision
• Keep loading crews updated on any changes in schedule
• Check for piece QC clearance two (2) days ahead of loading schedule to avoid schedule impacts
• Assist in planning, documenting and scheduling Quarterly Driver meetings for DOT compliance
• Participate in required weekly meetings for shipping planning/schedules
• Track fuel for quarterly fuel taxes.
• Process quarterly IFTA Taxes, Yearly IRP’s(Tags for Trucks), IFTA Stickers, and any other DOT requirements for DOT Compliance.
• Maintain updated record of Owner Operator’s IRP and Insurance.
• Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations.

Education and Technology:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• At least 1 year in trucking environment
