JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a passionate hospitality professional; strengths in service, thorough knowledge of the guest’s experience, and exceptional Beyond Compare service attitude for the position of Assistant Manager of Dandelion at the Boston Harbor Hotel, Boston’s only Forbes Five-Star waterfront hotel. This position is responsible for working alongside the Dandelion Supervisor and Director of Food & Beverage to oversee and train employees and maintain the Dandelion Marketplace.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience:
Must have at least (3) or more years of experience within the coffee space, with a combination of previous food & beverage management and retail experience in a Luxury Environment preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities for the Assistant Manager of Dandelion include the following but are not limited to:
- Work with the leadership team to oversee the day-to-day operations.
- Maintain a professional and approachable manner on the floor for our guests and employees.
- Work to ensure standards and cleanliness are upheld.
- Guide and train employees in all roles within the marketplace Including but not limited to coffee bar, POS, merchandising, cleaning, and customer service.
- Ensure that operations are carried out productively to ensure profitability and sustainable growth.
- Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties and/or delegated tasks.
- Listen to employee concerns and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Deal graciously and professionally with customer feedback and complaints
- Ensure adherence to legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises.

- Must have critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Must be familiar with the local area.
- Ability to transport (pull, push) up to 50 lbs.
