Job Description
Th
e Quality Control Manager
is an integral part of the Project Team
responsible for
the implementation and execution
of CWC’s Quality Management System
and
management of submittals and RFI’s
.
As well as
provide
quality control
support to field and corporate personnel
.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
-
PromoteCWC’squality control vision,policies, and procedures
-
Enforce thecompany safety programin accordance withcompany’sbest practice policiesand,local, state, and federal laws
-
Implementand manageall aspects of the CorporateQuality Management System(QMS)at the project levelto ensure all workis performedasrequiredper theproject plans, specifications, and approved submittalsusingthe Three Phases of Control
-
Conductand document Preparatory Meetings (Phase 1) for each definable feature of work.Reviewall requirements for thework(i.e.plans, specifications, approved submittals, and AHA).Assess preliminary workandinspect the site withthe project team and subcontractor.Issue meeting minuteswithin48 hours

Conductand documentInitial Inspections(Phase 2) for each definable feature of work.Ensureall required/approved materials, equipment, and personnel are available.Verify preliminary workand inspect theinitialplacement of work

Conductand documentFollow-up Inspections (Phase 3) throughout the construction processbymonitoring workon a daily basisto ensureproject requirements aremet and tasks are performed correctly.Non-compliance itemsshall be documented with an observation in Procore
-
Managethe submittal process includingcreation of the submittal log, receipt of submittals, compliance review, submission, logging, tracking, and distributionto the project team

Take primaryresponsibility for managing andmonitoringtheBIM coordination process
-
Manageproject observation logas well asany deficiencies noted byThird-Party inspections and Architect’sfield reports.Trackallnon-compliant itemstoclosure

Managethe RFI process includingcreation of RFI’s, submission, logging, tracking, hyperlinking,and distribution to the project team
-
Manage theprocess formaintainingelectronicrecord drawings (as-builts)
-
Manageproject closeout information,including receiptof required documentation from subcontractors, electronic assembly of close out documents, and transmission of all requiredinformation
-
Managetheprojectpunch-out process, take primary responsibilityfor preparation of a finalcompletion list.Conductpre-punch,pre-final, and finalpunchlistinspections.Prepare and distributepunchlistto the responsible subcontractorsand track completionof allpunchlistitems

Usethe latesttechnology and softwareto completeprojects asassigned
QC
Training
-
Attend,as assigned,all CWC in-house and external training programs
-
Provide input to annual corporatequalitymanagementtrainingprogramandperform jobsite employeeQCtraining as needed

ProduceQCtraining content asrequired

Maintainrequired certifications
Risk Management and Loss Reductions

Provide field observations and suggestionsregardingopportunities to improve performance and lower insurance costs

Assist withQCclaims handling and their resolution

AssistinQCincidentinvestigations and reporting
Knowledge, Experience, and Special Skills Required
-
ArchitecturalorEngineeringdegreeinStructural, Mechanical,Electricalorother Constructionrelated fieldis preferred
-
A minimumof 3 years of experience managing and coordinatingsubmittal processes and performingquality control inspections of the work with a minimum of5 years of construction experience

ProficiencyinMicrosoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam
-
Strong written and verbalcommunicationskills

Ability toassess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands

Excellentorganizationaland interpersonalskills

Trustworthy, self-motivated,passionateand dedicated tohigh-quality work

Works successfully as part of a team

Ability to perform all duties in adigital/paperless environment

OSHA30 hour, first aidand CPR certifications
Wage Transparency
In accordance with the Maryland Wage Transparency Law, the base salary range for this position is: $90,000.00 - $130,000.00

The determination of salary is based on the candidate's individual professional experience, qualification, education, skills, and training.
Job Demands
Individuals should be able to reach above and below, stoop and bend, sit, walk, and stand. Individuals should also be able to lift, carry and/or moving items up to 50lbs. May be exposed to heavy machinery/equipment, hazardous chemicals and extreme weather conditions. Minimum of 40 hours per week required. Works hours will vary depending on project specifications and may involve weekends and night work.
