Agro Grower Technician II at Heartland F P G – Lake Panasoffkee, Florida

This role is based out of the extraction facility at our Lake Panasoffkee, FL farm.

SCOPE:

As a Grower Technician Level 2, you will be responsible for efficient and timely completion of individual and team-oriented tasks as assigned by the Agro Planning Manager. You will be preforming propagation, routine fertigation, plant maintenance, and cleaning of our propagation rooms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Follow standard operating procedures.
• Assist in all plant care from clone to harvest, including automated and hand watering, cloning, propagation, transplanting, pruning, topping, defoliating, and harvesting.
• Operate and maintain propagation, cultivation, systems, and equipment.
• Maintain, clean, and sanitize all grow areas as needed.
• Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear.
• Other duties and assignments as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to work in conditions typically found on a farm, in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.
• Ability to exert up to 15‐50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds of force constantly in order to lift and move product.
• Ability to balance, reach and grasp while climbing on a step stool and/or ladder.
• Ability to crouch, grasps, and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor properly.
• Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities.
• Ability to extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend.
• Must possess visual acuity to document company records.
