About This Position
This role is based out of the extraction facility at our Lake Panasoffkee, FL farm.
SCOPE:
As a Grower Technician Level 2, you will be responsible for efficient and timely completion of individual and team-oriented tasks as assigned by the Agro Planning Manager. You will be preforming propagation, routine fertigation, plant maintenance, and cleaning of our propagation rooms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Assist in all plant care from clone to harvest, including automated and hand watering, cloning, propagation, transplanting, pruning, topping, defoliating, and harvesting.
- Operate and maintain propagation, cultivation, systems, and equipment.
- Maintain, clean, and sanitize all grow areas as needed.
- Maintain and ensure proper storage and sanitation of all tools and equipment, including but not limited to shop vacs, pumps, hoses, carts, scissors, totes, gloves, rags, and PPE gear.
- Other duties and assignments as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to work in conditions typically found on a farm, in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.
- Ability to exert up to 15‐50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds of force constantly in order to lift and move product.
- Ability to balance, reach and grasp while climbing on a step stool and/or ladder.
- Ability to crouch, grasps, and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor properly.
- Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities.
- Ability to extended hours, such as daily overtime and an occasional weekend.
- Must possess visual acuity to document company records.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Detail-oriented and ability to adapt to changing demands and priorities.
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills.
- People and communication skills.
- Ability to successfully manage a high-volume workload with deadlines.
- Preferred ability to understand oral and written instructions in English, bilingual is a plus.
