Digital Print Manager in New Albany, Indiana at Versa Designed Surfaces

This is an onsite (not remote) position. Relocation may be considered for the right candidate.

SUMMARY

The Digital Print Manager will oversee the day-to-day tasks of the Digital Prepress and Print Team as they take finalized design layouts and set them up and print on large format inkjet printers.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills with Adobe Illustrator plus other Creative Cloud programs, along with management, communication, and organizational experience within a digital graphics manufacturing environment. This is not a Designer role.

Knowledge of large-scale printing and design experience is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage Quality System of Prepress and Printed Material
• Assigning work to team and maintaining organization
• Scheduling of Large Format Equipment
• Troubleshooting issues with production files
• Point of contact for other departments
• Ensuring production files adhere to technical standards
• Approving Color matches

SKILLS:

• Knowledge of Mac OS system
• Strong organizational skills
• Solid ability to prioritize work with adaptability to changing requirements
• Manage work volume and meet deadlines
• Maintains attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Desire to learn and help grow the department
• Solid knowledge of large-scale digital printing process

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts, Textile Design or Surface Pattern Design
• 5+ years of relevant design experience in the commercial wallcovering or adjacent industry and a demonstrated portfolio of projects
• High proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design and color management software applications
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and handle stress under pressure and effectively manage time and conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
• Possesses creative abilities, an interest in pattern and design, a sensitivity to color and color combinations
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. Ability to take initiative and manage and complete multiple tasks per deadlines.
• High energy and a desire to create patterns that will keep VDS at the forefront of the market
